Packing For Italy

I always look forward to my trips to Italy. The food, the people, and of course, the fashion. While the days at the shoe show are long, I leave feeling so inspired and excited for the new merchandise we’ll be carrying.

This time around, I thought I’d give you a glimpse of what I’m packing for the trip. I always try to pack as efficiently as possible, but of course I want to look good, too. I picked my favorite pieces from the store to refresh my wardrobe and take me from summer to fall.

  1. Travel Day. It’s a long travel day, and comfort is a must! I’m always cold on airplanes, so this sweater from Deluc is the perfect layering piece. For the airport and exploring Milan, The Queen Sneaker from Vaneli is perfect. I love the trainer style, and the comfort is incredible. This leather tote is perfect for travel- I can fit all of my essential items for the plane.

  2. Walking the show. Again, comfort is key for show days. I’m on my feet for hours, so I need a comfortable shoe. This mary jane from Fabio Rusconi is a classic, and Mary janes are still very on trend. Camo is coming back for fall in a big way. We just got in these pants from Pistola and I had to take a pair home. I went with a classic white button down for the top which is a piece I think everyone needs. This one is cropped and has a boxy fit, so it’s great for a higher rise pant.

  3. Sightseeing in Milan. I love walking the streets of Milan in my free time. One of my favorite shoes this season is this loafer from Fabio Rusconi. They are so comfortable, and I think everyone needs a great black loafer. The Sophia pant has sold out several times, and we just got them back in stock. To lighten up my all black look, I put on the Jessa cardigan from Heartloom.

  4. Day to Night. I’m loving brown for fall, and a tonal outfit always feels very sophisticated to me. The Meg coated jean is the perfect wide leg. They are so comfortable and fit great. The Emmett Sweater is a lightweight knit, so it’s perfect for the cooler evenings. I chose the Icaro Flat from Roberto Festa in taupe to play off the brown tones.

  5. Out to Dinner. Walking around Milan is so inspiring. I love to see what the women are wearing, and how they are styling trend items. Barrel jeans are everywhere right now, and I love styling them with a kitten heel. The Celine jacket from CPW is the perfect cropped length to pair back to a barrel jean.
